 Henry Lamb, Sr (~1760 - 1817)

It is believed that Henry Lamb, Sr. was born Randolph County, North Carolina in approximately 1760. His father is thought to be Joseph Lamb, one of the 5 brothers that migrated from England in 1745 or 1750. The first Federal Census, taken in 1790, indicates that the Henry Lamb household consisted of 1 free white male 16 years old or over, 2 free white males under 16 years old and 3 free white females. Of note, there are several other Lambs living in close proximity to Henry and his family, including Joseph (presumably his father) and Jacob, John, Benjamin, Nathan and William, all of which could be Henry’s brothers or other relation. Between 1800 and 1810 Henry relocated to Surry County, North Carolina, along with his son, Henry Jr. He then died in 1817 in Surry County.
