Alice Eivins was born to John F. and Evoline (Smith) Eivins on 1 April 1876 in Clarke County, Iowa. Her parents moved the family of 12 children to Union County, Iowa in 1886 were they lived until 1891. They finally settled in Madison County, Iowa. Alice and 3 of her siblings never married and, according the census, lived in the same household. Alice died in 27 September 1946 at the age of 70 and was buried in the Macksburg or Moon Cemetery.
